Description freggy1 2008-03-29 21:50:00 UTC
As soon as Empathy is installed, it will be started automatically at GNOME login for all users, even if they don't use Empathy. Even if I use Empathy, I find this very disturbing, because I want to choose myself when I want to start Empathy.

Empathy should not put itself in /etc/xdg/autostart, but rely on session manamgent to be started automatically, so that users can choose themselves whether they want Empathy to be started automatically or not.

don't install desktop in autostart

As discussed on IRC, patch to install the .desktop file to $(datadir)/applications instead of the autostart dir.
