The jpeg is a 1024x768 image, 67477 bytes. Permissions on the image were originally 554, reset to 777 (no effect on problem). >How-To-Repeat: Attempted to reselect the same jpeg as background, resulting in a crash. chmod 777, attempt again - same result. Attempted a different jpeg also in the home directory (121613 bytes) with the same result. Converted the image to png format with Gimp and attempted to select the png image, with the same result. Moved the png image to /usr/share/pixmaps and attempted to select that image, with same result. Selected a random file from /usr/share/pixmaps/propaganda/vol.1 - no error. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-03-24 00:11 ------- Unknown version 1.2.x in product control-center. I would like to fix this crash for the background capplet in the control center. However i need help from you, i need to know if this crash happes when a particular image is beeing set as the background and also if it happens every time that image is set. If this is the case can you provide me with an URL to the image that makes the background capplet crash so that i can try to replicate it in my computer. Thanks in advance
