Description Darrell Duffy 2008-03-17 03:13:35 UTC
gThumb 2.10.6 as distributed with Ubuntu 7.10

Without digging deeply into the documentation or help, one might naturally assume that the Fit Window and FitWidth buttons would set a zoom that would continue for all the images displayed.

It seems very interesting to have Fit Width or Fit Width work while the Slide show is running. The two buttons don't appear to do anything.

During a slideshow, one might also expect that a zoom in or out would be maintained for the remainder of the images. If the iamges are of different sizes, then Fit Window and FitWidth makes sense as a sticky option. If the images are all the same size, then having the zoom stick for the rest of the slide show should stick.

THanks for listening,

There is an option in Preferences >> Viewer to "Fit to Window if Larger", but the missing feature is "Fit to Window regardless of Size". When building a photo frame - display photos as a continuous slide show - using a small Linux box, showing all images full screen is the desired option.

Thanks for listening.
