Hi, I think it would be good switching desktops moving the cursor over "desktop switcher" and scrolling the mouse, instead only moving the cursor on selected area and clicking.

Are you using Compiz?

The Workspace Switcher does, in fact, support the behavior you describe, but only when Compiz is *not* running/enabled.  I can confirm that turning off Compiz (System-->Preferences-->Appearance-->Visual Effects) allows the Workspace Switcher to operate correctly and that enabling Compiz causes the described bug behavior.

Can someone change the bug title to "Switching Workspace with scroll does not work under Compiz"?  Or shall we file a new bug?  Severity should be adjusted to "Minor" or "Normal", not enhancement.
