We manage all our translations through the translation project (http://translationproject.org/), which means we don't commit them to our repository directly. 

Please take a look at http://translationproject.org/html/translators.html - it has instructions on how to submit translations directly to the TP, and how to join their translation teams if you're interested in maintaining the translation.
