GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 518838
Weird sentence in docs
Last modified: 2008-03-05 22:09:03 UTC
Not being native English speaker, I have difficulty to understand the following sentence from Cheese documentation (the second part): "If your video appears to be jerky or have a low frame rate (only updating the picture every few seconds), it is very likely that the recording will not have it and, have a more constant and higher frame rate instead."
Moreover, there is a typo in the FAQ: ximageskink instead of ximagesink
"In principle that should be any camera which support video4linux of video4linux2." of -> or ?
hmm.. you are right, that that sentence isnt really easy to understand. generally this paragraph means, that even if your display is showing a jerky or a low frame rate video, it might be that youre recorded video is ok. how could be say that in an easier english?
Maybe something like that: "...it does not mean that the original recording is of bad quality. It has probably a more constant and higher frame rate than what you see."
claude, if you have access to svn and the doc team is ok with that change, please commit it
Fixed in trunk.
thanks!
