Description Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2008-02-06 17:53:45 UTC
We should use the new xml system Gtkbuilder instead of libglade. But maybe we should wait until glade 3 supports GtkBuilder.
Comment 1 Pablo Sanxiao 2008-02-06 20:37:47 UTC
I don't think this is necessary change for now.

I'll close this bug because this kind of things is better to discuss in the mail list.
Comment 2 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2008-02-06 20:46:01 UTC
why you want to close this bug? I didn't say to fix this right now and it is a bug because libglade is going to be deprecated.
Comment 3 Pablo Sanxiao 2008-02-06 20:58:04 UTC
IMHO it's not worth opening a bug for this.

I think is better to use the mail list.
Comment 4 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2008-02-06 21:12:36 UTC
why not, i can open a bug just because something is wrong or because a feature request.
Comment 5 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2008-07-16 15:45:48 UTC
Paolo Borelli has commited today a patch to add root support in GtkBuilder files, so we should able to do this with the next major release of gtk+.

gtkbuilder

This patch should fix the bug. This bump the gtk version to 2.14. As we had so much delay on release I think this should be applied right now as the gtk+ 2.14 was released yet.
Comment 7 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2009-01-10 17:11:48 UTC
What about this? The patch was good in its moment, not sure if it is going to apply now. If you don't wanna apply it, close this as WONTFIX.
Comment 8 André Klapper 2009-03-12 19:09:19 UTC
This is a must have. All modules will have to get rid of using libglade.
Pablo, please get this in instead of having it rotting here.
Comment 9 Pablo Sanxiao 2009-04-05 14:58:15 UTC
This should be fixed now in trunk version. It will be available in the next software release.

Thank you!
