Description Michael Meeks 2008-02-01 10:14:47 UTC
This is pretty unfortunate: :-)

I press Alt-Print-screen,
I type ~/silently-lost into the file-name field [ and it appends .png nicely in
SL10.3 ].
I hit enter.

The file is not saved, data is silently lost without any warning.

the entry is for the *filename*, not for a full path. this is a usability problem that has yet to be solved by biug 325708.

gnome-screenshot trunk will warn you that it cannot create the file and ask you to change the name.

closing as duplicate, thanks for your report.
