Description Daniel Nylander 2008-01-31 07:45:08 UTC
The welcome mail, located in mail/default/C/Inbox, is outdated.
It specifies changes in 2.10, which should be updated to 2.12

Other information:
Comment 1 André Klapper 2008-01-31 09:00:38 UTC
it should be completely changed to display some useful info (a very basic introduction, plus explanation how to get help [help->about; forums; bug reports]). announcing latest changes in the welcoming email is a waste of time because it's only displayed for new users who don't know evo at all.
Comment 2 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-03 13:18:06 UTC
In Fedora and RHEL we just delete the thing.

Is "evolution@novell.com" even a valid email?
Comment 3 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-11 00:36:50 UTC
Bumping version to a stable release.

Fixed in revision 36002.

I just yanked the "New Features" section altogether and also removed the "evolution@novell.com" email address in the signature.

The thing could still use a complete rewrite, updated logos, etc.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2008-08-16 15:05:42 UTC
Much better, see comment 1. Can we also get that sentence about the FAQ in (currently only in the HTML part and outdated)?
Feel free to announce to gnome-i18n@ when "settled down" and kindly ask for updated translations. Handling this by po files and create at buildtime (see bug 206066) would of course be even better. ;-)
Comment 7 André Klapper 2008-08-16 15:07:34 UTC
err... i meant "commented", not "outdated", so it's not displayed.
