Description Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-01-29 09:32:48 UTC
The gnome-settings-daemon binary changed location in order to allow libdir==libexecdir builds. See also bug #504203.

The new location is $(libexecdir)/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon.

| FYI: this change broke GDM which expects LIBEXEC /gnome-settings-daemon.

The issue from bug #504203 has not reached consensus yet.
Comment 2 Brian Cameron 2008-01-29 17:32:09 UTC
It seems to make the most sense to move the location of gnome-settings-daemon to address the bug. Then fix GDM to refer to g-s-d in the new location. The only release of GDM that expects LIBEXEC/gnome-settings-daemon is the unstable release, so it should be okay for there to be some instability there.

Thankfully the silly directory is gone.
