GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 511786
Unusual behaviour dragging time slider.
Last modified: 2008-01-24 13:58:38 UTC
Using Totem Movie Player 2.20.0 under Gnome on Gutsy. To reproduce 1) Start watching a movie or listening to a song. 2) Click and hold down on time slider. 3) Drag the slider forward or backwards 4) Release mouse button 5) Keep moving mouse and notice how the time slider keeps moving, even though you are no longer holding the key down. You have to click again to stop the time slider moving. I'm not sure if this is done on purpose. I guess it might not be a bug, but the behaviour is unusual for a media app and is often annoying. Personally I think it is better to follow the standards set by other media apps unless you have a really good reason to change the behaviour.
