Description Mark 2008-01-22 22:59:36 UTC
Hey,

Recently i noticed that when i create a folder and give it a name and press enter (so that you have a folder with the name you entered) i sometimes have to wait seconds (!) before the folder name actually changes from "New Folder" to the name i gave it.

Not a big bug but most definitely worth to fix because it's annoying.

Mark.

Confirming still present in 2.32.0

One way to reproduce this annoyingly is to rapidly right click->create folder, rename to "a", and then do again with a folder "b".

If you're quick enough, you'll get a confusing This Item Could Not Be Renamed error message, saying "There is no "untitled folder" in this folder. Perhaps it was just moved or deleted?"

I actually encountered this while making these folders legitimately.

[Bumping version number as per comment 1]
Comment 3 Alexandre Franke 2016-09-06 21:08:42 UTC
I fail to reproduce it with the new dialog.

Please feel free to reopen this bug report if the problem still occurs with a recent version of GNOME.
