Description James Gregory 2008-01-05 10:30:00 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When cross fading is enabled, if you attempt to skip a track that has been paused, Rhythmbox will play about half a second of the paused track and then freeze up. The only course of action is then to kill Rhythmbox and reload. This does not happen when cross fading is disabled.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Ensure cross fading is enabled in Rhythmbox
2. Play a track for a little and then pause it
3. Attempt to skip the track (either using Next or Previous)

Actual results:
Rhythmbox will play around half a second of the paused track and then freeze up.

Expected results:
Rhythmbox would resume playing the track so that it can cross fade into the next track on the playlist.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, but only when cross fading is enabled (it doesn't happen when cross fading is turned off).
