Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it. Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces http://www.gnome.org/projects/totem/#bugs for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
Looks like a GStreamer bug. Forwarding to the GStreamer people...
- could you make the file available somewhere (if it's <1MB, you can also attach it)? - if not, could you provide a stack trace with debugging symbols? (sudo apt-get install libgstreamer0.10-0-dbg gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-dbg) (Philip: please move things into the "don't know" component if you don't know the right component, "gst-plugins" is for GStreamer-0.8, no one ever looks there)
Probably the same as bug #508294 (NULL dereference in _set_caps). Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 508294 ***
