GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 505816
Installed Gnucash 2.2.2 on Win32. Cannot start gnucash-bin.exe, as it fails with an Entry Point Not Found error.
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:57:22 UTC
OS: Windows 2000 sp 4+ Procedure: Start with a machine that previously had gnucash-2.2.1-setup.exe installed and working (after fixing ORBit dll problem earlier). Then delete the folders in the gnucash directory. Install gnucash using the windows binary from gnucash-2.2.2-setup.exe downloaded from sourceforge mirror. Allow installer to try and start gnucash. Instead of gnucash starting, I get an error dialog. Text of dialog box: gnucash-bin.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point GetVolumePathNamesForVolumeNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll. I'm guessing that there's a misspelling, or incomplete function name, somewhere in gnucash. Either that, or in some sort of library that gets called. It might be in the ORBit library patch.

Workaround: use older version of gnome-vfs dll from gnucash version 2.2.1.
