GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 503084
sort of freeze after saving with no disk space
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:56:14 UTC
I had few disk space, and, without knowing it, I saved from gnucash. My data file is 54MB big. I think I had some 15 MB free. Gnucash told me in a little window that I hadn't write permission or there wasn't enough space on disk. The dirty state (*) kept present in the title bar. After that, all the gnucash UI is freezed. Gnucash doesn't respond neither to the keyboard nor to the mouse. However, the content (actually I was in the main account tree) is presented. If I switch to another application window, when I come back to gnucash the window content is presented, only it there is a one second delay before I can see the window content. After many attempts to gain gnucash attention, when I clicked on the close button of the window, the save dialog was presented me, and I could save the file and keep working. I have the suspect that the "freeze" was due to this hidden save dialog. I think it was hidden, because I minimized gnucash window and switched to other applications many times, and it never had appeared.
