If you are typing a really long URL the dropdown list of URLs isn't  really helpful since it displays the whole URL

S, it would be really helpful to hide (with ... maybe?) the common chunk of URL that is equal :)

Mmm, changing the ellipzation to middle and not end?.

That would make all urls compress at middle with ...

I think that bug #680021 and bug #679907 would make this problem go away.
