GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 500519
Missing preview for e-mails
Last modified: 2008-10-22 08:49:03 UTC
Hi, I would like to have a preview of the e-mails that I take out from my Mail User Agent to put in folders. Actually they are detected as text files and when I open then, I only see the source code of the e-mail. The current preview is a preview of the source code too. I would like to see the actual body of the mail in the preview.
If they are text files, they should already be "thumbnailed" by Nautilus (in such a way that Nautilus does all text files). If they are text files and this is not the case, please reopen and explain further (providing a screenshot would help). If they are in the database format of what ever email client you use, they need to be transformed into a format that Nautilus can use to display by a thumbnailer, which needs to be installed by the said email client. If the latter is the case, please file a bug against the mailing client with instructions found at http://library.gnome.org/devel/integration-guide/stable/thumbnailer.html.en for precise instructions on how to thumbnail files in such a way that Nautilus and GNOME can make use of. Closing this as NOTGNOME. Please feel free to report any further bugs you may find.
