Description Carl Stephenson 2007-11-26 05:08:46 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have text files in my music directory (for a music transcription program).
Every time Rhythmbox starts up, it rediscovers these and reports them. This takes quite a while with my collection of > 11,000 music files

Steps to reproduce:
1. Text files with the *.xsc extension are stored in music library
2. Start Rhythmbox
3. Import errors cause library to be searched for ~ 20 minutes

Actual results:
Just a lot of activity while Rhythmbox updates it's database and reports errors.

Expected results:
As in Amarok or even xmms, these text files are simply ignored.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I prefer Gnome, and Rhythmbox has really come a long way, but this problem bugs me.
