Description John Jason Jordan 2007-11-24 19:14:38 UTC
Evidently Rhythmbox that is automatically installed on my Ubuntu Gutsy x86_64 computer uses GStreamer to play MP3s, and something is wrong with GStreamer. When I try to play an MP3 Rhythmbox takes a long time, then puts a red - in front of the file. If I select the file, then Properties I get a window that says "Internal GStreamer error: state change failed. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer." I have reinstalled Rhythmbox with Synaptic, also all packages that contain "gstreamer," but nothing works. Meantime, MP3s play fine in RealPlayer, Exaile and VLC.
