I am using gnome-terminal 2.18.0 and using lots of terminal tabs. gnome-terminal allows detaching the tabs from a terminal window but not vice versa. Attaching existing terminal window to another terminal window as a tab is very desirable feature in my environment.

Generally, attaching window with several tabs to window with several tabs should be possible as well.

I agree, some terms often get detached accidentally (because my system lags at the time I click on the tab...) and it's very annoying to have to close the term and create a new tab.
