GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 493693
Help doesn't seem to work with 0.96.1 (at least in Ubuntu)
Last modified: 2008-08-10 03:50:33 UTC
Hi, Help doesn't install correctly in 0.96.1. I have made dia from source (without gnome which may be the problem) in Ubuntu Gutsy (because the 0.96.1 binary from the repository) has the same problem. I believe the previous version from the Ubuntu repository (whatever version that was), had Help that worked. Rob
Selecting help menu item help produces a warning message: Could not open help directory: Error opening directory '/usr/local/share/dia/help': No such file or directory However, on creating a /usr/local/share/dia/help directory, selecting help menu item help produces the warning message: Could not find help directory Seems strange thast the error message changed! I generated the html files from dia.xmy using db2html and copied them into /usr/local/share/dia/help Selecting help menu item help still produced the warning message: Could not find help directory Roger
correct path is /usr/share/dia/help/[lang]/index.html solved by BUG #536334
