Description Josselin Mouette 2007-11-01 00:18:25 UTC
[ forwarded from http://bugs.debian.org/448058 by Emil Novak ]

If you open some location by entering path to Location entry then every file
and directory is displayed twice. You can try this in gimp or firefox.
Use Ctrl+L to show/hide location entry.

When you open directory by clicking on directory names everything works fine.

----
This bug only happens when using the gtk+ backend, not the gnome-vfs backend.

I can also reproduce it by double-clicking on the current folder button in the button bar, or by quad-clicking on a shortcut.

Josselin: does the part under "----" indicate that you've reproduced the
bug under these conditions, or is it additional text from the original
reporter?
Comment 2 Josselin Mouette 2007-11-01 15:50:15 UTC
The last lines are from me, I can reproduce this bug perfectly.
Comment 3 Owen Taylor 2007-11-01 16:08:37 UTC
Thanks ... just wanted to clarify that, so that if anybody was considering working on this bug, they'd know that had been reproduced on multiple systems.
Comment 4 Emmanuele Bassi (:ebassi) 2007-11-01 16:20:27 UTC
josselin, where do you see duplicates? if it's inside the completion list, does the patch attached to bug 368931 solve the issue?
Comment 5 Josselin Mouette 2007-11-01 16:46:09 UTC
Nope, it is in the file list. The original report has a screenshot:
