GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 489502
Register: Account autocompletion ignores new separator until restart
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:52:46 UTC
Please describe the problem: If you change the separator, account autocompletion on separator stops working. If you quit and restart, the new separator is recognized. Steps to reproduce: 1. Change separator from : to /. 2. Highlight a transfer in the register, and start typing "e-x-/-g-r" Actual results: You get the account"Ex/gr". Expected results: Autocompletes to "Expenses/Groceries" Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: If you type "e-x-:-g-r" you do get the (almost) expected result of "Expenses:Groceries", but since the separator is now "/", that account isn't recognized.
Does this error occur on register windows that are still open, or also on register windows that you open after that change?
No, that only happens with registers open at the time of the change. I think r17151 on trunk should fix that. Awaiting backport to branches/2.2 for inclusion in GnuCash 2.2.6.
looks like this was fixed in http://svn.gnucash.org/trac/changeset/17267 Christian, thank you for the awe-inspiring amount of commits today. Please be sure to close out the bugs here that were fixed.
Indeed! I will help him :-) Fixed for GnuCash 2.2.6.
