Description Hussam Al-Tayeb 2007-10-14 17:02:33 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Playing a last.fm stream directly after starting rhythmbox doesn't work because you are no logged in to last.fm yet. Even if you wait for a 1 minute, it won't log you in until you play some local media file to trigger the log in.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open rhythmbox, wait a minute without doing anything in rhythmbox. Then play a last.fm stream. It will fail to play and give you a error "Problem occurred without error being set. This is a bug in Rhythmbox or GStreamer."
2 . Close rhythmbox.
3. Start rhythmbox. play a local media file for a few seconds. this triggers a last.fm log in using the scrobbler plugin. Now play a last.fm stream. It will play fine now.

Does this happen every time?

Other information:
Solution: Have the last.fm plugin automatically log me in when I start rhythmbox even before I play anything.

This will be fixed when we switch to last.fm's new streaming system.

I've just committed the new last.fm streaming system changes, so this is fixed.
