Check out the screenshot... the combobox is using base.
I hope this is not a nautilus bug...... or we will wait ages.

Even worst, GTK+ :-P

And if you look at the Clearlooks gtkrc, there are workarounds and several comments about this issue.

Oh, the workaround was broken. It is fixed in Clearlooks now.
