GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 484439
For IMAP, need option to use real folders, rather than virtual, where possible
Last modified: 2008-05-06 20:18:04 UTC
When using Evolution against an IMAP server, it would be very helpful if there could be a setting to use real folders, rather than virtual folders for Trash and Junk. This is because other IMAP clients often do this, and it helps with interoperability. Here is an example. I use roundcube-webmail, which requires a folder for both trash and junk. It would be useful for evolution to move trash and junk to these folders. Otherwise, I end up with a regular folder for trash and junk, as well as a virtual folder for trash and junk when using Evolution. Since there doesn't appear to be a method to share virtual folders between systems, it would be nice if Evolution could at least use real folders for storing these types of messages. Thanks!
