Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
After logging out of GNOME and returning to the GDM screen I press <ctrl>+<alt>+<f1> to switch to a console. I then issue the command: % ps awux | grep sigwait The 'oafd' process is always running. I have to use the 'killall' command to terminate it. Here the list of processes. root 705 0.1 0.1 2356 1312 tty1 S 07:51 0:00 login -- sigwait sigwait 799 1.0 0.2 3712 2200 ?
