...then it is not an mbox file? :-)
it has to begin with a "From: " line.

Hi Andre,

These are Thunderbird mailboxes (from a Windows account) I am trying to import ... I also added the .mbox extension and this still didn't work.

I thought Thunderbird used the mbox format?
