Hi Mehdi,
Emblems not showing in the Places sidebar is bug #321660. I'm not sure we want another preference for setting the zoom level in the sidebar, so if you're still willing to work on this I think you'd better split your patch into two parts, one for the emblems and another (in a separate bug report) for the zoom control.
Also, patches on bugzilla are usually not reviewed by the Nautilus developers, and it's better to send a mail to the Nautilus mailing list [1] when attaching a patch here, so that it will get proper review. Thanks, I'm marking this bug report as a duplicate of bug #321660.
