Description Alistair 2007-09-12 07:33:54 UTC
As well as menu sort option, a fast and useful method (providing the grid allows it) would be click on header to sort.

Generally, most register entries are withdrawals, unless I'm missing something, the [withdrawal] and [deposit] columns are not interchangeable. This means that user has to tab one more column usually. Possibility of swapping columns would be useful but its probably not practical programatically?
Comment 1 Josh Sled 2007-09-12 13:49:01 UTC
Changing to Register component; should be much more easily allowable by register rewrite.

As for the separate issue about changing the debit/credit column order, the columns are ordered based on traditional double-entry accounting; see the ordering of the T-account <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-entry_accounting#An_explanation_of_a_T_account>. While we do multiple things to make double entry easier, changing this column order is something I doubt we'll do.

(Also, please file a separate bug for each issue you'd like to bring up.)
