Use hotkeys Ctrl-G (eg goto) and specify an approximate date by a parsed date field eg 09/02 would jump to first date in September 2002. Alternatively it might be included inside an altered Find interface, but would be desirable to have it search the current account only.

BTW suggest change find field 'value' to 'amount' (value needs a double think, amount is an amount no think).

Changing to Register component.

Please file a separate bug for this.  You can also add a custom translation if you like. en_Al[istair]  ... ;)
