"I'm talking about Game->End game.

"End game" has a technical meaning in chess, so it is likely to confuse users who know chess but are not so familiar with GNOME. I observed one such user, who assumed that "End game" had something to do with analysing the game."

Good point. The "End Game" button has been replaced with "Resign" in 2.22. Thanks for the report.
