Please describe the problem:
You can fill in the gnome-about-me dialog various user information and it will save it even thou you will cancel the autentication windows.

Steps to reproduce:
1. su - another_user
2. gnome-about-me
3. change whatever (face, mail)
4. click close
5. dialog will appear asking for password to change the infos
6. cancel it
7. start gnome-about-me


Actual results:
Shows you filled values.


Expected results:
Should not save until user provides credentials.

This is Fedora 7. Could be this is Fedora specific.

Yes, this is a bug in your distro. Stock about-me does not authenticate except for changing the password.
