GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 473867
Evolution mailer should not generate "auto contacts" for Contacts that already have their emails in an address book
Last modified: 2009-12-22 04:18:02 UTC
Version: 2.10 Evolution mailer should not generate "auto contacts" for Contacts that already have their emails in an address book, even if the existing contacts are not in the default address book. Distribution: Fedora release 7 (Moonshine) Gnome Release: 2.18.3 2007-07-02 (Red Hat, Inc) BugBuddy Version: 2.18.0
Agreed. This creates a lot of unnecessary duplication & cleanup work, especially when syncing with any IM client. Distribution: Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04) Gnome Release: 2.26.0 See this thread also: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1041732 Someone wrote an Evolution plugin to merge same-name contacts as a workaround http://www.gagniard.org/gilles/wiki/...onContactMerge
