If you're able to reproduce, can you please re-emerge gnucash with debugging symbols so the stack trace is useful?  See <http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Stack_Trace#Debug_symbol_information> for Gentoo-specific information (in short: USE="debug" FEATURES="nostrip").
