GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 472721
I got error message saying I should file a bug
Last modified: 2007-09-02 10:18:25 UTC
I just installed Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon test version called "Tribe 5". When I booted livecd and opened the example documents I noticed sound wasnt working so I opened the sound preferences dialog. In the "Sound events :: Sound playback" combobox I have these options: "HDA Generic / ALSA / ESD / OSS" and the default "Auto detect". I tried all of them and it\s when I use the alternative "ESD" and then press "Test" button, then I see this error message: audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer
In Windows Vista, the control panel says my soundcard is a "Realtek High Definition Audio".
