Debian bug about the same problem; http://bugs.debian.org/440684
Comment 2 Adrian Sampson 2007-10-23 09:43:39 UTC
For me, this behavior was caused by outdated gstreamer plugin packages (I'm not sure which). I'm running Gentoo, so all was solved by an `emerge --update --deep world'.
Comment 3 Tony Houghton 2008-10-31 18:35:52 UTC
I'm using Debian unstable and have the same problem. All my gstreamer packages are up-to-date with version number 0.10.*, but not all the minor version numbers are the same.

This bug is apparently still active. I am running the latest version on 64 bit Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and when you either change a profile, osrcreate a new one, and SAVE IT, it no longer appears in the pull down list in PREFS, even after you close and re-open Sound Juicer. A google search revealed that running sudo sound-juicer from the terminal will let you access new profiles. I have no confirmed that yet.
