What CFLAGS and architecture do you use, because this test passes for me with -O2 -g on both x86 and amd64.

Comment 2 Tim-Philipp Müller 2007-08-10 09:43:19 UTC
Bug #348114 might be related (has been observed so far on debian ppc64 with 'gcc 4.1.3 20070601 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-12)'.
Comment 3 Peter 2007-08-10 10:52:54 UTC
This is x86 system so I guess that bug #348114 is not related.
I've tried with your CFLAGS, but still same result... This is gentoo system, so may be emerge --info will gives you some hints:

camobap log # emerge --info

Note that I really tried with different CFLAGS overriding them on the command line.
Comment 4 Tim-Philipp Müller 2007-09-08 19:40:36 UTC
Well, it's almost the same compiler version and also 64-bit, so my money is still on "It's a compiler bug" (or at least the same problem as the other bug report).
