Description Sam Morris 2007-08-02 23:42:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I created a new mail folder on an IMAP account. While I did this, I had evolution open on another machine, configured with the same IMAP account.

When I returned to the other machine, the new folder was not in the folder list. Examining the IMAP account's subscription does list the new folder as being subscribed to however.

I had to quit and re-launch Evolution to make the new folder show up.

that's normal behaviour and not a bug. if you know any mail client that supports this, please let me know. :-)
Comment 2 Josh Triplett 2007-10-14 04:59:49 UTC
In my case, even closing and reopening Evolution often doesn't get it to notice new folders. Opening the account preferences, fiddling with something, and closing them sometimes gets it to notice. Often it takes multiple tries.

Also, this should not have severity "enhancement".

you need to subscribe to those folders if you have "only show subscribed folders" checked in the account prefs
Comment 4 Jeffrey Stedfast 2007-10-14 16:07:46 UTC
if that doesn't fix it, then I guess it's a dup of bug #330838
