Description Jan Niklas Hasse (Account disabled) 2007-07-27 15:05:47 UTC
Hello,
I'm from Germany and playing Mahjongg with my mother. Because we want to who is who we type always our name in the high scores, sometimes necessary because we are playing with the others name logged in. After using the gnome-games for a while, sometimes you can't put in the right name. IMHO GamesScoresDialog should not use an editable entry for retrieving the name for the high score, because:
1. Sometimes you can't edit it. Sorry I can't tell when this happens, but it appeared for me several times.
2. If you are clicking accidentally somewhere, you may have an high score with a wrong name.
3. When you type in your name and click "New Game", you're name is gone. (My mothers sometimes doesn't hit return after typing in her name.)

A dialog where you enter your name would be great.

I fully agree. Patches for this would be helpful.

Re-assigning to new default owner.

It seems like this should be considered a "normal" bug. For me, this bug has often led to incorrect High Scores lists, which is much of the fun in playing the games.

The score code was rewritten in 3.8 and no longer has this issue. Thanks for
reporting this bug.
