Crash was repeatable with the above pdf file. Other pdf's from the same manufacturer {web site} open OK.

Note: The earlier repeatable crashes where when booted with kernel-2.6.21-1.3228.fc7.

 Trying what I'm pretty sure was the pdf that caused the crash booted on , and having installed fedora-debuginfo packages, I do not see a crash, and the document opens OK. Perhaps one of the packages installed / updates at Jul 24  12:58 has solved the problem.---
