GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 45928
want a modifier key to mean open a new window and close this one
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
In the the Macintosh Finder you can hold down Option while you double-click a folder to close the folder you're in at the same time as you open the new folder. I haven't been able to figure out if there's any way to do the same thing in Nautilus. (Open-in-the-same-window is a partial substitute, but it tends to end up with the wrong size window for what you're looking at.) ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2001-01-22 17:53:41 ---- Nice idea for a feature. We added this on Macintosh just before System 7. We called it "tunneling". ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-26 11:19:06 ---- SPAAAAAAAAAM! (Jon Allen has taken these components; QA Assigning bugs to him.) ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 21:00 ------- The original reporter (eric@eazel.com) of this bug does not have an account here. Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
