Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot
to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash.
Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see
http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so and
reopen this bug or report a new one. Thanks in advance!

okay i had another crash *after* debuginfo installed.
i hope that helps or do i need to run gdb ?
btw, is there value in gconf-editor *nail* the width for the task pane on a 1680x1050 screen ? now it has the half of the screen and calendar (day view) has only the half of the task width.

Comment 5 Tobias Mueller 2007-08-18 22:34:07 UTC
thanks for the awesome stacktrace!

Did you do anything special, like searching or switching from/to email? If you have any information on how to reproduce this crasher don't hesitate to post it here.

Interesingly does none of the dups have this warnings:
(evolution:6187): e-data-server-WARNING **: e_msgport_put: Failed to write to
pipe: Bad file descriptor
(evolution:6187): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_queue_push_head: assertion `queue !=
NULL' failed

But it's likely that it's some complicated threading issue *sigh*
Comment 6 rwarsow 2007-08-18 23:24:58 UTC
doesn't mind !

yes, switching from calendar to mail via buttons.
sorry, it's not reproduceable, it comes and goes, but since 2-3 days often.

i'd just run gconf-cleaner, cause this is a import from fedora 4 => 5, ..., but it's unlikely that this fixes the crasher and so i can first only give *that* M$-Super-User-Standard-speach: "gestern ging's noch !"

 :-[

let me know if i can provide more info's.

bis denne ...
   ronald

p.s. haette auch in deutsch schreiben koennen, oder ?
 :-D

I don't see this bug since serveral weeks any more.
close it ?
Comment 10 Milan Crha 2008-02-21 18:10:23 UTC
Sure, you can close it if you think it has been fixed.
Probably some issue with 2.10, I guess.
Comment 11 rwarsow 2008-02-22 03:37:14 UTC
me ?
I only can repeat Comment #9 and surfing through the related bugs, shows all are with Fedora 7. 'want say "lightyears" ago...

I currently don't see a way to change the bug status - it's 4:34 pm in germany now-
shouldn't the initial reporter do this ?

I disconnect me from CC List, okay ?
Comment 12 Milan Crha 2008-02-22 10:54:30 UTC
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you was the reporter, my fault. (Who am I talking to? He's not CC'ed anymore...)

I will close this, but please feel free to reopen if you face this again.
Comment 13 Matthew Barnes 2008-02-23 03:55:56 UTC
Based on the timeframe of this bug, I'm guessing it was related to the file descriptor leaks we suffered in bug #348888. Should be fixed now in Fedora 8.
