Description Sergey 2007-07-06 18:36:02 UTC
I'm running gnucash 2.1.2 and 2.1.4 under Windows XP.
I have a standard business account hierarchy. And I have sub-accounts in four different currencies (USD,EUR,GBP,BYR). I manually entered exchange rates for these currencies in price editor as well as I also installed finance::quote for automatic quotes retrieval. And of course, there are a lot of transactions already entered - so the accounts are not empty.

Problem:
when I decide to generate for example income statement (in Income&Expense section) with the report currency set to for example USD, I get almost empty report with all values equal to zero - USD 0,00.

The reason seems to be the following:
If in the Options of the report in Commodity section I check to show Exchange Rates in the report - > in the bottom of report appear the exchange rates which gnucash seems to use for this report:
Exchange rates
BYR 1 USD 0,00
EUR 1,00 USD 0,00
GBP 1,00 USD 0,00
But these are not the exchange rates from my price editor.

The same problem arise when I generate a balance sheet and account summary. However, for cashflow report the rates are retrieved from the price editor.

Did you experiment with the option "Price source" in the Options -> General tab?

I tried and it really helped in some reports. Thank you! However, I still experience the same problem with business reports, for example - with Customer report, or Receivable Aging. Actually, in customer report I do not have an option to chose "price source"...

The business features don't have any multi-currency support built in. Having business reports with correct currency source is one part of that missing feature.
