Description Ernestas Liubarskij 2007-07-01 10:10:54 UTC
Please describe the problem:
No text is displayed in gnome-keyboard-properties "Keyboard Layout" tab when opened for the first time after installing gnome or creating a new account. If any item is expanded, the text is then displayed correctly.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new account;
2. Start gnome;
3. Open gnome-keyboard-settings;
4. Select the "Layouts" tab;
5. Click "Add...", select "Lithuanian" (don't expand) and click OK;
6. Now open the "Layout Options" tab.

Actual results:
No text is displayed.

Expected results:
The text is displayed correctly.

Does this happen every time?
This happens every time after creating a new account.

Other information:
I don't know if this bug can be reproduced in any other way than I described, so if you want to reproduce it, you have to follow these steps exactly and in the same order they're described. If I can, I'll attach a few screenshots.

This really happens every now and then, I know. I have no real idea why - and cannot reliably reproduce it. The funny thing is the data is there. I suspect it i gtk's problem - but I really cannot prove it.

Could this be resolved by triggering the focus event when the specific tab is selected?
Comment 5 Sergey V. Udaltsov 2008-01-30 20:49:25 UTC
Can you reproduce it that way?
Comment 6 Og Maciel 2008-01-30 21:03:33 UTC
FWIW, that dialog that allows you to choose how to switch the layout, etc is not in a different location and it doesn't seem to have this issue. Running GNOME 2.21.5 and gnome-control-center 2.21.5.

losing then. Please reopen if you encounter this again.
