Description Mike 2007-06-26 14:19:40 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I log in, I always have two icons for my Windows partition on my desktop (which is marked 'noauto' in fstab and therefore really shouldn't be there anyway.)

Also, sometimes when I have a CD inserted while booting/logging in, the icon for the CD is in the same place one of these icons.

Steps to reproduce:
See above.

Actual results:
Two windows icons, and sometimes a CD drive icon covering one up.

Expected results:
One windows icon, and a CD drive icon somewhere else.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
fstab entries:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs users,ro,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdc /mnt/cd iso9660 users,ro,noauto 0 0

volume icons appear on the desktop if they are mounted (regardless of fstab entries).

regarding stacked desktop icons... old bug

It's not mounted twice...
