GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 450675
gthumb should delete the thumbnails of deleted files
Last modified: 2015-12-18 16:24:00 UTC
When I save some new image, thumb create its thumbnail. That's ok. On the contrary, if I delete an image (i.e. I send it to the wastebasket), the thumbnail will remain in the thumbnail folder. I think that when I delete an image with gthumb, its thumbnail should be deleted too. This is in order that the thumbnails directory doesn't grow without control.
Created attachment 90618 [details] [review] Remove thumbnails after file delete Could you test this patch? It removes thumbnails after a file delete (but not after a folder delete - that's probably too complicated to be worthwhile). - Mike
I myself cannot test the patch, I haven't the necessary skills. Hope someone test it.
Do you want to learn how? I can guide you through it. If you do, let me know what linux distro you are using. - Mike
Well, I've gone ahead and committed the patch. It should appear in 2.10.6. - Mike
2.10.6 or 2.10.4 ? Anyway, thank you for the patch!
2.10.6. 2.10.5 was released yesterday. This patch will appear in the next release (2.10.6). - Mike
