Oh, and I'm using Windows XP proffesional..
Comment 2 Derek Atkins 2007-06-23 14:26:45 UTC
Is this the whole QIF file? Have you verified that trying to import just this snippet causes the problem? It works for me (although it does "die" at the end of the import, but that's a different issue).
Comment 3 David 2007-06-23 14:29:05 UTC
This is the whole file.
actually, its a snippet of my month's transactions but it's the original download from my institution's website.

I have tried with this file, and it does reproduce what I claim.
Comment 4 Andreas Köhler 2007-06-23 14:29:53 UTC
Could you please try to move your qif file to a path without accents? I suppose the qif importer still does not grok them.

I moved the Qif to a path without accents and spaces (my root c:) and it works now.
Thanks

I have the same problem (GnuCash 2.1.5 - Windows) when importing OFX files which are in a folder that contains non-ascii characters. No errors are raised, but only an empty list in "Generic import transaction matcher" window.

This problem should be fixed by r16296 for GnuCash 2.2.0. Unfortunately, it is not related to this bug :(
Comment 8 Charles Day 2008-04-01 22:09:24 UTC
Fix committed as r17062. Requesting backport for 2.2.
Comment 9 Andreas Köhler 2008-04-20 19:51:39 UTC
Applied to branches/2.2 as r17103 for GnuCash 2.2.5.
Thanks a dozen!
