GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 448171
cannot see contents of pdf
Last modified: 2007-08-25 14:46:04 UTC
Please describe the problem: I cannot read this pdf, while xpdf/gsview can. Steps to reproduce: 1. download pdf: http://www.t-rex-engineering.com/doc/20061212094348.pdf 2. open in evince Actual results: page is empty Expected results: show the pdf Does this happen every time? yes Other information: a thumbnail created by nautilus does show the contens, gsview and xpdf can view the file
Works here (0.6.1).
It works here too with evince 0.8.1 . Can you try to run evince from the command line and see if there's some debug output and paste it here?, Thanks.
No debug output on command-line. For what it's worth, i'm running Fedora 7 with the latest updates. The help-about screen says: Evince 0.8.0 Document Viewer Using poppler 0.5.4 (cairo) Hope this helps.
I can't view it, too. Evince 0.8.3 Using poppler 0.5.4 (cairo) Debian sid
Confirming: I too see an empty page now on 0.6.1, 0.9.0 and head (+poppler head), from 3 Weeks ago. Odd. Might have something to do with fonts?
It's a poppler bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12153 Thanks for reporting.
